The Private Client team advises individuals, families and trustees on a broad range of wealth, succession and estate matters, and is recognised in the independent legal directories for the quality of its advice.The RoleWe are seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join our Bristol team, working on a varied caseload spanning wills, trusts, estate administration and succession planning. This is an opportunity to build a broad private client practice within a well-regarded, Legal 500-ranked team, with genuine early client contact and responsibility.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvising on wills, trusts, powers of attorney and estate administrationSupporting tax and succession planning for individuals and familiesHandling probate matters, including more complex or contested estates where relevantAdvising on the creation and ongoing administration of lifetime and testamentary trustsAdvising high-net-worth clients on inheritance tax, capital gains tax and wider wealth planning strategiesAssisting clients with Court of Protection matters, including deputyship applications and management of affairs for vulnerable individualsAdvising on cross-border estates and succession issues involving international assets or beneficiariesLiaising with accountants, financial advisers and other professionals to deliver joined-up advice to clients and their familiesSupporting business owners with succession planning, including the interaction between personal and business assetsCandidate ProfileQualified Solicitor (England & Wales), 2-6 years' PQE in private client lawStrong technical drafting and analytical skills, with sound knowledge of trusts and tax planningExcellent client-facing manner and ability to manage a varied, fee-earning caseload with minimal supervisionCommercially aware, with an interest in business development and building client relationshipsComfortable working in a fast-paced, collegiate environmentWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary and benefits packageA well-regarded, Legal 500-ranked Private Client team with a strong client baseClear route for progression, including support for further qualifications (e.g. STEP) where relevantHybrid/flexible working arrangementsBristol city-centre office location
