We are currently recruiting for both Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to join a residential children’s care setting in Oldbury on a full-time, permanent basis.

We are looking for caring, reliable and experienced individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people and helping them achieve positive outcomes in a safe, nurturing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people within a residential setting.

Support young people with daily routines, education, appointments, activities and developing independence.

Build positive and professional relationships based on trust, consistency and respect.

Support children and young people with emotional, behavioural and complex needs.

Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding procedures and behaviour support strategies.

Promote independence, confidence, life skills and positive outcomes.

Maintain accurate records, daily notes, incident reports and handovers.

Work effectively with colleagues, managers, families and external professionals.

Participate in shift work, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins where required.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Support Workers

Senior Support Workers will also be expected to:

Provide leadership and guidance to Support Workers during shifts.

Lead shifts and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service.

Support and supervise staff while maintaining high standards of care.

Assist with care planning, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.

Respond appropriately to incidents and challenging situations.

Ensure accurate documentation and effective staff handovers.

Support management in maintaining regulatory and organisational standards.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children and young people is essential.

Experience within children’s residential care is highly desirable.

Good understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries and person-centred care.</...
