Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide day-to-day administrative and data support to the Investment/Research team, acting as an assistant to colleagues across a range of recurring and ad hoc tasks.

* Extract data from internal and external sources and prepare it for use in reporting, analysis and operational processes.

* Clean, organise, reconcile and manipulate data in Excel, including combining datasets, identifying inconsistencies and resolving data-quality issues.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, databases, spreadsheets and reporting tools, ensuring information is complete, consistent and available when required.

* Produce regular and ad hoc reports, schedules and data summaries for internal stakeholders, following established templates and procedures.

* Carry out data checks and reconciliations, investigate exceptions and follow up missing or inaccurate information with the appropriate team members.

* Review existing administrative and data processes, identify inefficiencies or control gaps, and suggest practical improvements to make processes more accurate, consistent and efficient.

Skills & Experience:

* Advanced Excel skills are essential, with confidence using formulas, lookups, PivotTables, filters, sorting and other tools to extract, clean and manipulate data.

* Strong numerical and analytical ability, with the confidence to work with large volumes of data and identify errors, trends and inconsistencies.

* Experience in a data administration, reporting, operations, record-keeping or similar support role is preferred; financial services experience is useful but not essential.

* No specific finance degree or professional finance qualification is required; practical data-handling ability, accuracy and strong Excel skills are more important.

* Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time-management skills, with a methodical approach to maintaining records and completing recurring tasks.

* Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to ask questions, follow up information and work effectively with colleagues across the business.

Key Attributes:

* Highly organised, dependable and comfortable working in a support-focused role with multiple routine and ad hoc priorities.

* Methodical and data-focused, with a strong commitment to accuracy, completeness and good record keeping.

* Curious about how processes work and willing to question, document and improve existing ways of working.

* Collaborative and service-oriented, with a practical approach to supporting the wider team and meeting deadlines
