As a Software Engineer in the Triton team at Graphcore, you will play a pivotal role in developing the framework support that empowers AI developers to leverage Graphcore hardware effectively. Your contributions will ensure that Graphcore accelerators work seamlessly with leading machine learning frameworks, including Triton and PyTorch.

You will report to a Team Lead within the Frameworks team, where your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting critical software components. Your work will significantly influence how researchers and engineers utilize Graphcore hardware for demanding machine learning tasks, enhancing performance, quality, and usability across a complex software stack.

In this role, you will join the Triton team to deliver new features, conduct code reviews, write technical documentation, and collaborate with upstream communities. You will also coordinate technical tasks that span multiple teams, providing you with deep technical ownership and a visible impact as the machine learning software landscape evolves. Continuous learning and opportunities to contribute to other framework teams will be part of your journey.

What Weâre Looking For

• Strong software engineering skills, with the ability to manage quality, complexity, and technical debt.
• Experience in developing with Python and C++.
• Background in compiler development.
• Ability to manage complex technical tasks with dependencies across teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to collaboration and technical leadership.
• Interest in AI, machine learning frameworks, performance optimization, or computationally intensive engineering.
