Front End Developer

We're looking for a Mid-Level Front End Developer to join a busy MI & Application Development team, working alongside a talented junior developer who's sharp technically but still finding their feet when it comes to talking to users and stakeholders. That's where you come in.

What You'll Be Doing

Building responsive, maintainable front-end applications with React and modern JavaScript

Working with REST APIs, collaborating closely with the back-end team on integration

Pairing with and mentoring a junior developer — code reviews, guidance, and simply showing them how it's done

Helping that junior developer grow their confidence talking to users and stakeholders, by modelling how it's done

Getting stuck into real conversations with business users to turn their needs into practical, well-built UI

Working within an Agile team (Scrum/Kanban), using Azure DevOps

What You'll Bring

Must-haves:

Solid experience with React (or another modern JS framework, with a willingness to work in React)

Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and HTML5/CSS3

Comfortable integrating REST APIs

Git and Agile delivery experience

Nice-to-haves:

Some C#/.NET awareness, so you can talk the same language as the back-end team

Familiarity with SQL Server

Azure DevOps experience

Previous experience mentoring or supporting more junior developers
