Design Engineer

The Design Engineer will play a key role in delivering complex engineering projects from concept through to manufacture. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will combine technical expertise with project coordination, ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and working closely with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams to keep projects moving forward.

The Design Engineer will:

• Manage engineering projects from concept through to delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, resource allocations and risk registers.
• Coordinate activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Finance teams.
• Manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support procurement activities.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure materials and components are delivered on time.
• Identify and resolve project risks, issues and delivery challenges.
• Support prototype builds and manufacturing activities.
• Provide regular project updates and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.

The Design Engineer will have:

• An Engineering or Operations background
• Experience managing engineering or product development projects.
• Strong project planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within fast-paced, small-team environments.
• Knowledge of BOM management and supply chain activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to drive projects through to completion.
