Hours: 37 hours per week


Length of Contract: 3 months


Location: Sealand, Flintshire


An excellent opportunity for an experienced Logistics & Materials Operative to join a busy operational environment, supporting the safe, efficient and compliant movement and disposal of obsolete equipment and materials.


The Role



  • Collect, move and segregate obsolete equipment into appropriate waste streams, including WEEE, scrap metal, batteries and hazardous materials.

  • Accurately identify, label and document materials, maintaining movement logs and disposal records.

  • Prepare loads for collection, including weighing, wrapping, securing and staging.

  • Follow all H&S procedures, risk assessments, SSOWs and PPE requirements.

  • Use material-handling equipment such as pallet trucks and trolleys, with forklift use where licensed.

  • Support stock checks, audits, investigations and wider materials management activities.

  • Work closely with warehouse, workshop and governance teams, escalating discrepancies or safety concerns appropriately.



  • Current accredited FLT/MHE licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS, AITT or equivalent), valid throughout the assignment.

  • Previous logistics, warehouse, facilities or engineering support experience.

  • Practical experience of manual handling and material movement.

  • Good understanding of safe lifting, handling and workplace H&S.

  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email and spreadsheets.

  • Ability to follow procedures, pick/move lists and risk assessments with excellent attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.

  • Desirable: Experience with NEXUS, LN, MJDI or JAMES, although training will be provided.


This is a hands‑on role working across office and warehouse environments, requiring regular standing, walking, lifting and use of PPE/MHE.
