As part of the UK Senior Management Team, the role reports directly to the Operations Director and his pivotal in ensuring operational excellence across multiple functions:Transport & Facilities ManagementStock ControlCustomer ServiceSystemsQualityKey ResponsibilitiesOversee the overall performance of the above areas for a £35million turnover business with circa 180 staff.Lead a culture of continuous improvement, embedding transformation initiatives and securing team engagement and commitment.Drive a strong customer-focused approachLead and coach teams, fostering a high-performance culture and elevating standards in behaviour and performanceImplement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, secure, and timely deliveries.Utilise data and analytics to inform decision-making and enhance operational performance.Work closely with the (HSE) team to maintain a safe working environment.Candidate ProfileExperience:At least 5 years' management experience in an FMCG distribution environment, with a clear understanding of operational excellence.Evidence of experience in leading organisational transformation and driving continuous improvement initiativesCustomer and solution-focused experienceKnowledge of safety standards and the ability to promote a safety-first culture.Strong analytical skills with critical thinking and a strategic outlookStrong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop teams and individualsResilient and robust, able to work effectively under pressure and adapt to change.Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results quickly and effectively.Evidence of driving improvement and delivering transformationHighly visible senior leadership role in a large-scale distribution centre.Lead major improvements that elevate customer service, safety, and operational standards.Contribute to a culture of growth, innovation, and excellence within the organisation.
