Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and client-facing Lead Technical Engineer with 58 years of expertise to lead the high- and low-level design of Security Operations Centre (SOC) solutions. You will spearhead technology designs, guide small engineering teams, and drive end-to-end deployment for customers.
Key Responsibilities Design Leadership: Lead high-level designs (HLD), low-level designs (LLD), and deployment-level designs for security solutions, specifying component interfaces.
Architecture & Setup: Specify infrastructure requirements (RAM, Disk, CPU, Network) and support cloud, containerized, and On-Premises VM environments.
Network & Security Configuration: Design network security devices, routers, switches, VLANs, DNS, and identity management capabilities.
Deployment & Testing: Oversee implementation activities, ensure entry/exit criteria are met, and develop test procedures for functional and non-functional requirements.
Documentation & Governance: Review and approve release documentation, guides, and requirements traceability matrices.
Core Duties & Requirements Experience & Background 58 years of senior-level experience, with proven capability in SOC deployment for previous clients.
Strong hands-on experience designing, building, and operating SOC technology, including at least two of: SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Vulnerability Management, or Threat Intelligence .
Proven delivery record in SIEM onboarding and configuring applications for high data-ingest rates (Cloud and/or On-Prem).
Technical Competencies On-Prem & Cloud Architectures: Compute/storage services, scalability, resilience, OS installation/administration, and security best practices (least privilege, encryption).
Networking: OSI and TCP/IP models, IP addressing, subnetting, routing protocols, LAN/WAN configurations, ACLs, and VLANs.
Cybersecurity Fundamentals: Threat mitigation, risk assessment, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures).
Systems Administration: Endpoint security/EDR, user access control (Active Directory, LDAP), and server hardening.
