Restaurant Manager

We're looking for a Restaurant Manager who can lead the from the front and deliver quality, consistent service for our guests. The restaurant management is involved in all aspects of the business from managing the profit margins and running a busy restaurant service.
Restaurant Asador 44 sits 80 covers and serves top quality produce from Wales and Spain cooked over fire. Asador 44 has won numerous awards and gained high acclaim in national press, we have a huge following of regulars and a long standing committed team.
The business is privately owned and part of the 44 group, we're not commercial and seek to recruit managers with an entrepreneurial spirit.
The service is professional, refined and friendly. We aim to anticipate our guests needs and add small touches to create memorable experiences.
Parador 44, the 5* hotel above the restaurant is has 9 rooms, lounge bar and a roof terrace and styled on paradors of Spain.
At the heart of the business is our team, were looking for a real people person whos not only passionate about taking care of our guests but also the team. Our team comes first, and we aim to train and retain.
Who were looking for?
Someone with a passion and deep knowledge of food, wine and hospitality with extensive experience in busy restaurant or hotel environments.
You must be able to lead and train a team with positivity to ensure they execute the service standards required.
We want someone who cares for the team and unites all departments to ensure they all work in harmony. This could mean the odd tough discussion that should be approached with sensitivity and an open mind.
You should be able to demonstrate financial skills and have excellent written and spoken English. Experience managing the bottom line and profit margins and payroll is essential
Were looking for someone who delivers quality service to our guests consistently.
Someone whos proactive and anticipates problems and guest needs
Knowledge of Spanish cuisine and drink would be advantageous, knowledge of food hygiene is essential.
You must be able to handle pressured situations in a busy restaurant and hotel
You should be a hands-on manager and be able to turn your hand to any position front of house
Being organised and keeping on top of your admin is essential

Reporting into General Manager and Deputy General Manager

Duties include
Managing the day to day running of the business to a high standard
Ensure our service and hospitality is the best it can be
Maintain guest relations
Ensure stock levels are maintained
Manage the food and health and safety compliance to a high standard
Guest and supplier correspondence
Disposable and wet stock takes
Wet stock gross profit management
Payroll and holiday management
Cash handling and banking
Monthly financial reports
Back office till management
Appraising and discipling team members
Recruitment and training
Booking system management for the restaurant and hotel
Addressing staff issues discreetly
Addressing customer complaints professionally and in a timely manner
