Were partnered with a growing and forward-thinking Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Bournemouth that delivers a wide range of IT, cloud and cyber security solutions to businesses across the UK. Due to continued growth, theyre now looking for an experienced 2nd Line IT Engineer to join their technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to move beyond traditional support and gain genuine exposure to cloud infrastructure, cyber security and project-based technical work . Youll be responsible for handling escalated technical issues while working across a varied client base and supporting a modern technology environment.

Youll gain hands-on experience across Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, virtualisation, cloud platforms and security technologies , while working alongside experienced engineers who can help you develop your technical skillset.

Theres also a strong progression focus within the business. As your experience grows, youll have the opportunity to progress towards 3rd Line Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering or Cyber Security-focused positions , making this a great role for someone looking to build a long-term technical career.

Required Skills: Strong experience working in a 2nd Line IT Support / IT Engineer position

Experience within an MSP environment is highly desirable

Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows and Active Directory

Good understanding of Azure and cloud technologies

Strong networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switching and firewalls

Experience troubleshooting escalated technical issues

Exposure to cyber security technologies and best practices

Experience supporting infrastructure, cloud or client projects

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
