Assistant Accountant Responsibilities: Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
Production of financial accounts up to the trial balance stage
Accruals/prepayments
Month end balance sheet reconciliations and prepare reports
Weekly cash flow forecasting and budget preparation
Assist in year end audit preparation
Analyse monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Liaise with other departments for effective communication and collaboration
Ad-hoc reporting and project work
Required Skills & Experience: Actively studying ACCA or CIMA
You will have a good knowledge of current accounting standards, and experience in the production of management accounts
Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
Experience in a similar varied accounting role
Have the ability to work under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines
Good decision-making skills, assessing situations to determine the importance
