Based in Swansea, this permanent opportunity offers hybrid working (minimum 60% office attendance) and a salary of £39,163, including a £3,500 Recruitment & Retention Allowance and a Civil Service Pension with 28.97% employer contribution. Working within agile delivery teams, you'll build and maintain automation frameworks that enable rapid, safe and reliable delivery at scale. As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will: Design, develop and execute automated test frameworks. Work as a key member of multidisciplinary agile delivery teams. Build automated testing alongside product development. Champion quality engineering, testability and automation-first approaches. Essential skills for the Software Development Engineer in Test include: Experience using modern programming languages. Demonstrable experience automating testing across multiple test types. Practical experience of Continuous Integration (CI). Experience improving quality through automation and tooling.
