This is a great opportunity for someone with machine operating or general manufacturing experience who wants to develop their skills and build a long-term career. You don't need to be an experienced Plastic Fabricator. We're looking for a practical, reliable Machine Operative who is comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, has a good eye for quality and is keen to learn. As a Machine Operative, you'll support the production of bespoke display units and shop fixtures, working with machinery, materials and components to ensure products are manufactured accurately and to a high standard.Key ResponsibilitiesSetting up and operating production machinery safely and efficientlyLoading materials and components ready for productionFollowing job sheets, specifications and production instructionsMonitoring machine performance and making permitted adjustmentsCarrying out quality checks throughout the production processIdentifying and reporting faults or production issuesAssembling components accurately to specificationPacking, picking and preparing finished products for dispatchSupporting Other Production Departments When RequiredKeeping your work area clean, organised and safeEssential Qualifications/SkillsPrevious machine operating, manufacturing or production experienceGood practical skills and attention to detailComfortable working with machinery and production equipmentAble to follow job sheets and production instructionsReliable, hardworking and keen to learnAble to work independently and as part of a teamFlexible approach and willingness to support different areas of production
