The role

As a Document Controller, you'll play a vital role in supporting the effective management of project documentation across a major long-term defence programme.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

  • Managing project documents within electronic document management systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Reviewing document formatting, coding, revision control and approval requirements.
  • Distributing documentation for review, approval and information to project stakeholders.
  • Producing document status reports and maintaining document numbering, archiving and retention processes.
  • Supporting project handover activities and promoting compliance with governance, quality and information management standards

This role is based at one of our key locations Leicester (Leicestershire), Bristol or Warrington (Cheshire). You will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible working arrangements are available, with a mixture of office-based and remote working.

Essential experience of the Document Controller:

  • Previous experience in a Document Controller or similar document management role.
  • Experience using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of document control, information management and quality processes.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing documentation throughout a project lifecycle.

Qualifications for the Document Controller:

  • A relevant qualification in Information Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
