Job Description Cleaning Operative
Contract: Permanent/ Part time
Salary: £10.42 - £10.50 per hour depending on experience
Hours: 20-30 hours per week (Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm)

We currently have several fantastic opportunities for a support worker to help our hostel customers make the move to independent living. We firmly believe in proactively supporting our customers to improve their lives and we want to coach them to realise their goals, moving from supported housing to an independent way of life.
The Role
We require a reliable and flexible cleaner for our properties in Luton areas who has a positive approach to work. Some essential tasks included are
1.\tCleaning all areas of our buildings using appropriate appliances, methods and cleaning products
2.\tTake responsibility for maintaining suitable cleaning products and ensuring they are used and available
3.\tProvide efficient and effective cleaning support, including ensuring that security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are well maintained
4.\tTake responsibility for emptying waste bins and taking waste to recycling plants
5.\tWash walls and inside windows to body height
6.\tWork additional hours if needed
7.\tUnderstand and follow Squared’s policies and procedures at all times, including Health and Safety and Fairness
8.\tTo ensure cleaning is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.
The Person
The successful candidate will have cleaning experience but we are prepared to recruit for ability and train for skills and knowledge. Your duty will be to ensure areas are cleaned to the highest standards, whilst maintaining health and safety at all times. You will provide excellent customer service by dealing with resident’s requests promptly and courteously, ensuring equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly.
Ability to work independently and use initiative is essential.
Due to the travelling between sites, a full clean UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle for work purposes is essential. Please note, this role will be subject to an basic DBS check.
