Senior Mechanical Engineer

As a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and overseeing the implementation of mechanical tanks and vessels for various projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects, taking into consideration technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical systems and components for Oil & Gas projects
Analysis and design of mechanical , structural and civil components with focus on concrete-steel, steel-steel RLG storage tanks.
Develop designs using in house and specialist software calculation tools such as FEA.
Evaluation of seismic and environmental reports.
Preparation of project design basis and review construction sequence documentation.
Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations
Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery
Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle
Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Conduct performance and quality testing
Prepare technical documentation and reports
This role is very much geared around storage tank design and delivery and really requires an understanding of API, ASME and Eurocodes.
