Technical Project Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Project Manager with proven experience in engineering. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between customer requirements and internal capabilities. The successful candidate will play a critical role in interpreting client needs, developing detailed technical specifications, and generating accurate and competitive and comprehensive quotations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Engage directly with clients to understand technical and commercial needs.

* Decipher and interpret customer requirements, drawings, and specifications (RFQs, RFPs).

* Identify key deliverables, compliance standards (e.g., AS9100), and timelines.

* Translate client requirements into clear internal technical specifications.

* Collaborate with design and supply chain teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with capabilities.

* Ensure specifications meet tooling standards, including tolerances, materials, and usage conditions.

* Prepare detailed cost estimates and formal, comprehensive quotations, factoring in material, labour, and subcontracting

* Develop and manage proposals, ensuring they are commercially viable and technically sound.

* Follow up with clients on proposals and adjust scope or pricing as required.

* Act as the central liaison between sales, engineering, supply chain, and procurement teams.

The Ideal Bid Manager will have the following skills and experience:

* General Knowledge in the fields of engineering is essential - full training will be provided.

* Excellent relationship building skills.

* The ability to multi-task whilst remaining detail orientated.
