Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for supporting business-critical applications and driving continuous improvement?
We're looking for an Application Support Analyst to join our IT Applications team at cardfactory. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and optimising a broad portfolio of enterprise applications that underpin our retail, supply chain, finance and business operations. Working as part of our Applications team, you'll act as an escalation point for complex application issues, working closely with business stakeholders, third-party suppliers and internal IT teams to ensure our systems remain available, secure and performing effectively. You'll also contribute to application enhancements, releases and continuous improvement initiatives that help drive operational excellence across the business.
Based at Junction 41 in Wakefield, with free parking and a flexible hybrid way of working, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative team and make a real impact. Colleagues are expected to work from the office 2-3 days per week, with additional attendance where business needs require.
As an Application Support Analyst, you will provide 3rd line support for business-critical applications across the Card Factory Group, ensuring incidents, service requests and problems are resolved within agreed service levels. You'll investigate complex application issues, perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions that improve service stability and minimise disruption to the business. You'll maintain the availability, performance, capacity, security and resilience of supported applications, while delivering application changes, upgrades, releases and configuration updates in line with agreed governance and change management processes. Working closely with business stakeholders, suppliers and internal IT teams, you'll support project delivery, operational requirements and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll support application integrations, APIs and data flows between business systems, provide technical guidance to colleagues and business users, and create and maintain accurate technical documentation. The role also includes participation in an on-call rota, supporting critical incidents outside normal working hours and identifying opportunities to improve automation, cloud adoption, application performance and support efficiency.
