We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cloud / DevOps Engineer for contract position supporting a high-profile, enterprise-scale client within the financial services sector.

You will be stepping into an established environment to take ownership of custom-built automation code and deployment pipelines designed to simplify and accelerate development. Beyond the technical scope, you will act as a key technical facilitator—navigating enterprise processes, sitting on the production changes review board, and presenting innovative solutions to various cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise with Terraform.
  • Hands‑on experience building and optimizing GitLab pipelines.
  • Robust knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Experience managing Elasticsearch / OpenSearch clusters.
  • Solid foundations in Linux Administration.
  • Experience navigating complex internal processes and ecosystems within large-scale corporate environments.
  • Confidence presenting technical solutions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience participating in change management or production review boards is highly desirable.

Job Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of existing custom code and pipelines that significantly accelerate development and infrastructure deployments.
  • Act as a core member of the Production Changes Review Board, ensuring high‑quality, stable deployments.
  • Present infrastructure and DevOps solutions clearly to various internal engineering and product teams.
  • Quickly adapt to and navigate a complex enterprise ecosystem, understanding internal processes to unblock development teams.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure.

Benefits

You’ll benefit from a comprehensive health and wellness plan, private healthcare (clinical and mental wellbeing), and discounted gym memberships. We offer a fantastic benefits package including a competitive pension scheme and recognition schemes through bonus/reward initiatives. Colleagues are entitled to an annual volunteering day – so you can take time to support a cause close to your heart.
