Production Manager

Production Manager £55,000 £65,000 | Monday to Friday | West Yorkshire

A well-established manufacturing business based in Featherstone is looking for an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of its manufacturing operation and lead a high-performing production team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the pace, standards and demands of FMCG manufacturing and is comfortable driving improvements across people, performance, quality and efficiency.

The Role Youll be responsible for the day-to-day running of production, ensuring the site consistently delivers against safety, quality, output and efficiency targets.

Youll lead and develop the production team, improve manufacturing performance and work closely with other departments to identify and deliver opportunities for improvement.

The role will include:

Leading and developing production teams to achieve daily, weekly and monthly targets

Taking ownership of production performance, output, quality and efficiency

Driving Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives

Identifying and reducing waste, downtime and production losses

Monitoring KPIs and using data to improve operational performance

Ensuring production operates safely and in line with company and regulatory standards

Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Planning and other functions

Developing a strong culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement

Supporting and implementing improvements to processes, systems and working practices

About You We're looking for an experienced Production Manager or senior manufacturing professional with a strong background within FMCG manufacturing .

You'll ideally have:

Proven experience managing production within an FMCG environment

Strong people-management and leadership skills

Experience working with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement

A strong understanding of production KPIs, efficiency and performance

Experience managing quality, waste, downtime and operational performance

A practical, hands-on approach to manufacturing leadership
