We have an in-house repair centre in East London and our whole team is made up of driven, passionate and exceptional players.About the roleThis is a hands‑on, backend software engineer position reporting directly to our Head of Technology. You will be one of only two developers on the team, with real ownership over features, infrastructure, and decisions. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to grow with the company, contribute to the architecture, and take pride in building well‑crafted systems.What you'll doDevelop, maintain, and scale RESTful APIs using FastAPIDevelop internal tools and dashboards to support our operations and tailoring teamsDesign and manage MongoDB schemas and queriesDeploy, monitor, and scale services using AWS and GCPParticipate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practicesWork with Git for version control and collaborative developmentContribute ideas to improve architecture, scalability, and performanceWhat we're looking for2+ years of Python development experience in a professional settingSolid experience with FastAPI (or similar Python frameworks)Practical knowledge of MongoDB and working with document‑based data modelsExperience deploying to AWS, GCP, or bothProficient with Git and modern development workflowsFamiliarity with working in Agile teamsStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetA start‑up isn’t your typical 9‑5 – we’re looking for someone with a passion to work hard and over‑deliverNice to haveExposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, TeamCity, Jenkins, etc)Familiarity with performance monitoring and logging toolsExperience at a startup or a small, fast‑moving teamThis is a hybrid role and will require physical attendance at our East London office.
