We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and innovative team at a primary school in the Medway area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Intervention, Special Educational Needs (SEN), and one-to-one support, contributing to the provision of an excellent learning environment for students across Key Stage 1, covering EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 at the discretion of the lead teachers.
Day to day of the role:
Delivering targeted interventions to groups or individual pupils to support their learning and development.
Working closely with the SENCO to implement tailored education plans for students with special educational needs.
Providing one-to-one support to pupils, fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth.
Assisting in the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment to meet the diverse needs of students.
Monitoring and reporting on the progress of interventions and one-to-one support sessions.
Collaborating with teachers to facilitate a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of intervention strategies and SEN support.
Experience in providing one-to-one assistance to students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children.
Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are highly desirable.
