Cloud & Infrastructure Support Engineer

Contract | 3-Month Rolling | Up to £500/day (Inside IR35) | Remote-first, with ad hoc time in Canary Wharf as required

Our client, a fast-growing organisation with a modern Microsoft Azure estate, is looking for a Cloud & Infrastructure Support Engineer to join their technology team on an initial 3-month rolling contract. This is a hands-on, BAU-focused role covering incidents, service requests, routine infrastructure changes and platform monitoring across Azure, networking, Microsoft 365 and identity services.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain the health, performance and availability of Azure infrastructure and enterprise platforms

Triage and resolve infrastructure incidents and service requests, escalating where needed

Administer Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking, app services) and support Entra ID / Microsoft 365 access management

Support Azure Virtual Desktop, VPN and remote-access services

Carry out routine patching, maintenance and security/compliance tasks

Maintain documentation and run-books, and support end-user device builds and IT project rollouts

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and core cloud concepts

Solid networking fundamentals (IP addressing, DNS, VPNs, VNets, NSGs)

Experience troubleshooting infrastructure/cloud incidents in a commercial environment

Clear communicator with good attention to detail and a proactive attitude

Desirable: AZ-900/AZ-104 (or working towards), Microsoft 365/Entra ID/AVD exposure, PowerShell/IaC basics, ticketing systems (Jira/Confluence), financial services/fintech background.

Remote-first – office attendance only as required (roughly once every 3 weeks), Canary Wharf
