Deacons Marina

Deacons Marina is located in Bursledon on the West bank of the Hamble River, providing a tranquil and friendly 130 berth marina and full-service boatyard, just minutes from the M27 motorway, perfect for exploring The Solent. With lift out ashore for 180 boats up to 20T, Deacons Marina also offers an extensive boat repair and refit service including coppercoat application, keel removal/refit, hull treatments (GRP, topside respray and seacock replacement), rudder rebuild, bow thruster and engine installation & service. Coupled with a comprehensive chandlery, brokerage and on-site restaurant, it is a one-stop-shop for convenience, with our friendly team and loyal customer base providing a welcoming community!

Role purpose

We are currently hiring for a Digital Sales Administrator to join boatpoint, the UK's leading boat sales business. Your main responsibility will be to triage digital enquiries and direct them to the relevant sales office throughout the boatpoint group. This role is crucial in ensuring that customers receive prompt and accurate responses to their enquiries, providing them with the best customer experience. You will drive new business and aid retention through an efficient, helpful, and warm response to customer enquiries and communications, ensuring high standards of customer care and service.

Key Responsibilities

Contact customers who enquire through the boatpoint website or 3rd party websites within specified timeframes.

Identify customer requirements and forwarding leads to the Sales Team for follow-up.

Collaborate effectively with the Sales Team and Sales Managers to ensure timely customer contact.

Be able to deal with customer complaints, with the aim of finding a positive solution with an understanding and considerate approach.

Undertake accurate completion of new boat sales administrative tasks, ensuring correct and complete paperwork for all boat sales.

Creation of price lists, window cards, and other sales documentation for all brands.· Ensure that new boat sales web content for all brands is up to date and assisting the marketing team with initiatives to help maintain a digital presence; with reference to maintaining high search rankings.

Work closely with the marketing team on creating content for our brands that feeds our socials and newsletters.

Record customer interactions and outcomes on the Enquiry Management System to meet brand standards.

Validate marketing records for existing customers and create new records for new customers, while maintaining data accuracy.

Promote other group services and products as appropriate.

From time to time, you may be asked to help with other company functions reasonably requested by the Senior Management Team.

Core Competencies

Previous experience in marine or automotive dealership environments is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Proficiency in using computers and technology and you must have experience of using business software or sales CRM systems for administration and customer communication.

Strong administrative skills.

Demonstrated track record of achievement in both sales and customer service.

Ability to follow compliant processes and communicate professionally over the telephone and via email.

Excellent customer engagement and relationship-building skills.

Genuine interest and passion for the boat industry, staying updated on industry developments.

Strong numeracy, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills, with good IT skills.
