Electronics Engineer

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading end-to-end electronics projects: hardware, firmware, embedded systems, and control.
• Taking ownership of designs from concept through to delivery and customer integration.
• Mentoring junior engineers and apprentices, helping shape the next generation of talent.
• Interfacing directly with customers to gather requirements and troubleshoot in the real world.
• Driving technical decisions, risk assessments, and project planning.

You'll be supported by a skilled and collaborative team, but you'll also have the autonomy to lead, design, and deliver in your own style.

Essential What You'll Bring

• Strong hands-on electronics experience across hardware and firmware.
• Confident working with high voltages, power systems, and risk-sensitive environments.

• Excellent communicator- comfortable talking tech with engineers or project goals with clients.

Desirable (but Not Essential)

Embedded C/C++/Python development (8- or 32-bit targets). Firmware standards (MISRA) and debugging tools (JTAG, SWD). PCB layout (e.g., KiCad), SPICE simulation, or high-speed digital design. Experience with mission-critical or ruggedised equipment (rail, defence, aerospace). Strong workshop/lab skills; soldering, harness building, machining, etc.
