Learning Support Assistant - Wellingborough

Location: Wellingborough

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term Maternity Cover

Pay: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

We are proud to be working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wellingborough who are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a long-term maternity cover basis .

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to make a genuine difference in the lives of young learners while gaining valuable experience within a supportive primary school environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and other members of staff to support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing. The school is looking for someone who is patient, proactive and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The Role

Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils across the primary age range

Supporting children with additional learning needs and SEN

Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and accessible learning activities

Helping pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills

Supporting children with their literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum learning

Providing encouragement and reassurance to pupils who may require additional support

Supporting positive behaviour and helping children develop appropriate classroom routines

Assisting with the preparation and adaptation of learning resources

Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO and other support staff

Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
