Job Description

About the role

We’re working with a market‑leading organisation that’s scaling rapidly and looking for an Angular Developer to take ownership of the development experience across web and mobile platforms.

This is a hands‑on role combining strong front‑end engineering with UI/UX ownership, alongside an understanding of back‑end frameworks such as PHP. You’ll work closely with product, QA and full‑stack engineers to shape how products look, feel and behave.

You’ll be delivery‑focused, pragmatic, and confident making front‑end and UX decisions while owning a modern Angular codebase within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Owning UI/UX decisions across web and mobile platforms.
  • Collaborating with product, QA and full‑stack developers to deliver high‑quality features.
  • Ensuring clean, maintainable, and scalable front‑end code.
  • Contributing to front‑end architecture and best practices.
  • Mentoring junior developers and supporting team development.

Requirements

  • Experience with PHP back‑end development.
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and user‑centred design.
  • Experience working with Git and maintaining production codebases.
  • Comfortable collaborating with non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in small teams or fast‑scaling environments.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and design systems.
  • Experience integrating with APIs and back‑end services.

What’s on offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Hybrid working with a mix of on‑site collaboration and remote flexibility.
  • Company‑provided equipment.
  • Structured learning and development opportunities.
  • Support for sustainable commuting.
  • Regular team and wellbeing‑focused social activities.

Please note, visa sponsorship is not available for this position and the above requirements are essential. Applications will be unsuccessful if they don’t meet these, or aren’t within commuting distance of Bristol. I’d love to speak with everyone, but due to the high volume of applications we’re receiving, I can’t guarantee everyone a response.
