Operating across multiple branches in the UK, Crouch Waterfall, part of Vulcain Engineering Group, is a forward thinking Civil, Structural, Geotechnical Engineering and M&E Consultancy working on railway infrastructure, temporary works, buildings, bridges, highways, nuclear and geotechnics. Established since 1981, the business has enjoyed steady growth driven by a committed and highly skilled workforce of 100+ employees.
The Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer , you’ll join the close-knit team within a welcoming and relaxed office, working with other Engineers and Technicians across a wide variety of schemes within the rail, bridges, temporary works, nuclear and building sectors.
Your duties will include, although not be limited to:
Working within a team of Engineers and Technicians.
Designing civil & structural schemes and checking designs prepared by others, including producing detailed calculations by hand and through computer models.
Carrying out inspections, site surveys and assessments of structures and preparing reports.
Taking ownership of own projects across civils, bridges, rail and complex temporary works.
Preparing and managing project programmes, workload and resources.
Liaising with clients to verify project scope and ensure deliverables.
Liaising closely with discipline senior management team based in Bristol.
What will I need to be considered for this Senior Engineer vacancy?
To be considered for this role you will have the following experience, qualifications, skills, knowledge and attributes;
Relevant Civil or Structural Engineering degree.
Working towards Chartered status (ICE or IStructE).
Strong technical knowledge within assessment and design including inspections, calculations and analysis of existing structures and new-build design development.
Experience of bridge design and assessments preferred in either the railway and/or highway sectors.
Experience within the UK industry; using Rail Eurocode and Highway standards.
Client focused approach with effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong commercial awareness.
Full UK driving licence and own transport.
Eligible to live and work in the UK and high standard of written English.
