Permanent opportunity for an assembly, electronics or production technician to join a growing business that offers secure employment along with interesting and varied work. Production Technician duties will be:
Assembling of products utilising both mechanical and electrical/electronic skills
Soldering of electronic components on occasion
Working to meet production and assembly targets in line with customer requirements.
Contributing to quality control processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
Participating in improvement activities including making suggestions of where processes and procedures could be improved.
Completing any required paperwork.
Performing additional duties as required.
What you will need:
Experience of assembling electromechanical products with good electrical and mechanical skills
IPC-610 training or certification is desirable.
To be willing to undergo (and be able to pass) UK security vetting.
Previous experience of working in the armed forces (army, navy, RAF, etc.) in a technical capacity is desirable.
What you will receive:
A salary of up to £30,000 (dependent on experience, possibly more for the right person) + pension, potential annual bonus, private medical, 25 Days holiday + Bank Holidays, etc.
The working hours
Standard working hours would be 8:00am-4:30pm Monday to Friday (40 hour working week), but the company does offer some flexibility around start and finish times (7:30am-9:30am start time and 4pm-6pm finish times).
