Quality Engineer

We are partnering with a manufacturing company seeking a Quality Engineer in Cambridge on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities :

Conduct Supplier Audits to ensure our suppliers meet and exceed quality standards through regular audits and assessments. Identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with suppliers to implement corrective actions.

Analyse supplier performance data to drive informed decisions. Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve supplier quality metrics.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and procurement, to ensure seamless integration of quality processes throughout the supply chain.

Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives. Implement best practices to enhance overall supplier quality and efficiency.

Investigate and resolve quality issues by conducting thorough root cause analysis. Implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is essential

Expertise in supplier quality engineering or a similar position.

It is advantageous to have knowledge about quality management systems and ISO standards.

Knowledgeable in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, and IFS

Capable of driving design decisions where repeatable manufacturability deliverables are required. Competent in design for manufacture.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

The capacity to forge close bonds with internal teams and vendors.

Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to understand trends and data. It helps to be proficient with data analysis software.
