Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

Embedded Software Engineer (2 Positions) - Build Technology That Actually Flies

Ever spent hours in Microsoft Flight Simulator tweaking your approach into Innsbruck? Know your VORs from your NDBs? Or maybe you just love building low-level software that interfaces with real hardware rather than making buttons change colour on a UI (joke, there's little to no UI).

If that sounds like you, keep reading...

We're looking for two Embedded Software Engineersto join a growing engineering team developing technology used in aviation and communications environments.

We're particularly keen to hear from:

  • Junior Engineers with around 2+ years' experience
  • Mid-level Engineers with up to 5-6 years' experience
  • Flight sim enthusiasts, aviation geeks, or actual pilots (bonus points, not a requirement!)

What You'll Be Working On

This is proper engineering.

No endless front-end development. No pixel-perfect UI debates. No arguing whether the button should be blue or slightly bluer.

Instead, you'll be developing low-level embedded software that drives real-world systems and hardware.

Projects may involve:

  • Embedded software development
  • Hardware-integrated systems
  • Desktop applications and supporting tools
  • Test frameworks and software validation
  • Audio and intercom systems
  • DSP (Digital Signal Processing)

What We're Looking For

You’ll ideally have experience with:

  • Embedded software development
  • Developing software for hardware-driven products
  • Test automation or test frameworks
  • Desktop application development (nice to have)
  • Being able to land a 737 in a crosswind (although we'd be impressed)

Why Aviation Enthusiasts Tend To Love This Role

The best engineers in this team often have a genuine interest in aviation and human-machine interaction.

Whether you:

  • Hold a PPL
  • Dream of getting one
  • Have a flight simulator setup that costs more than your first car

...you’ll probably find the products and challenges genuinely interesting.
