Job Description
My client is a rapidly growing charitable organisation who are embarking on business-wide expansion programme. Recognised as an employer that puts people at the heart of their journey, an opportunity exists to join this UK-wide business as their Internal Communications Manager.
Duties
Shape and deliver the internal communications strategy
Inform and engage colleagues, creating 'buy in’ to the business, its core purpose and values
Sourcing, planning, editing and writing a range of high-quality content for a variety of internal communications platforms
Responsible for event planning and execution from intimate events to 600 attendees
Organising and delivering effective, engaging and topical internal communications events
Effectively manage the internal communications and events budget
Recording and analysing all campaign and channel metrics to make continuous improvements
Required knowledge, skills or experience
A proven track record as an Internal Communications Specialist
A natural collaborator who can engage well across all departments at all stakeholder levels, is comfortable working with Executive teams and can 'manage up’ and drive decisions
Excellent oral and written communication skills (including writing, editing and proofreading skills), using concise English.
Both a 'thinker and a doer’ - someone who can create and execute strategy
Comfortable working autonomously as this will be a stand-alone position; however the role is part of a broader communications team, so there will be support from other colleagues
Creative with demonstrable content and copywriting skills and also able to collaborate with other creative staff, such as a Videographer
Proven experience of organising events, both virtual and face-to-face (small and large events)
Capable of managing intranet and internal newsletters - experience of using lots of different channels
Able to manage multiple priorities at once
Energetic and not fazed by change in a fast-paced environment
Additional Information
Location: Newcastle
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00
Rates of pay: up to £41,000 per year
