Structural Engineer/senior

Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Building Structures team. This is a permanent position offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to complex and rewarding projects across the built environment sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing structural analysis and design of buildings using various construction materials.
Delivering engineering solutions from early-stage concepts to detailed design.
Collaborating with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams.
Supporting project delivery to programme and budget requirements.
Participating in client meetings and technical workshops.
Conducting site inspections and attending project review meetings.
Producing technical calculations, reports, and design documentation.
Contributing to BIM-led design and digital engineering processes.
Supporting junior engineers and sharing technical knowledge across the team.

Job Requirements:

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Membership of ICE, IStructE, or another relevant professional institution.
Progress towards Chartered Engineer status.
Experience in designing structures in steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry.
Strong understanding of Eurocodes and current design standards.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.

Desirable Experience:

Experience with structural analysis software.
Exposure to BIM and Revit-based project delivery.
Commercial awareness and project delivery experience.
Interest in sustainable and innovative structural design solutions.
