Job SummaryAs a Senior Lead Software Engineer in the Finance Technology Team, you will design and deliver trusted, market‑leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will carry out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas to support our business objectives. You'll work as a seasoned member of an agile team, shaping the direction of technology and process implementations. Your role will help foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive team culture while driving impactful results.ResponsibilitiesExecute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build innovative solutionsDefine and lead technology and process implementations across groups to achieve firmwide objectivesCreate secure, high‑quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with systemsProduce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are metGather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualisations and reporting from large, diverse data setsIdentify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architectureContribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new and emerging technologiesAdd to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectProvide leadership and high‑level direction to multiple feature teams both regionally and globallyRequired QualificationsFormal training or certification in software engineering conceptsHands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficient in coding in one or more languages such as Java or SparkExperience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming and database querying languagesKnowledge of the Software Development Life CycleUnderstanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile)Ability to solve data‑oriented problems using technologies such as SQL, Relational DB, Spark, NoSQL, optimizing for performancePreferred QualificationsExperience with Spark performance tuning of complex calculations on large datasetsExperience delivering production changes to complex software using Scala and SparkFormal training or certification on software engineering conceptsIf you’re ready to lead, innovate, and make an impact, we invite you to join our team and shape the future of finance technology with us.We are an equal opportunity employer and place a high value on diversity and inclusion at our company.
