Job Description

Role:Shift Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum

Hours: Rotating shift pattern (Early's/lates)

Location: Commutable from Malmesbury, Faringdon, Chippenham, Swindon

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work within a large industrial company at one of their automated factories.

Shift Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

Maintenance Engineers (Shift Engineers) support the production machinery including reactive, trouble-shooting and repair tasks, planned preventative maintenance, new installations and refurbishments. This would suit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who likes variation, looking to upskill in electrical maintenance and fault finding, to work across a range of machinery and equipment, who aren’t afraid to apply themselves and learn.

Shift Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

* A minimum of 3 years’ maintenance experience working in a manufacturing/process environment. (mechanical or electrical bias)

* Completed an Engineering Level 3 and 4 NVQ qualification. A ‘Higher National Diploma’ will be a distinct advantage or C&G equivalent.

* You will be self-motivated, able to make decisions and react quickly to the needs of the business.

* Ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff and work as part of a team.

* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. (Inc. use of MS Office)

* To record PPM information into a CMMS system accurately.

* A logical approach to fault finding with a high attention to detail.

* Able to travel to offsite training facilities and other factories in the group, as and when required

* Have ANY of the following experience; conveyors, boilers, packaging, bearings, belts, 3 phase, motors, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, PLC’s, pneumatics, hydraulics, belts, bearings etc. – any of these will be considered

* Friendly and adaptable working attitude

* Proactive work attitude and keen to get your hands dirty
