Description
Reporting to the Financial Controller as a Management Accountant you will be responsible for ensuring timely Management Accounts are produced as well as ensuring that the balance sheet reconciliations and other reports are prepared to assist Financial Planning & Control and the opportunity to play an instrumental role in shaping the finance team throughout a period of significant growth.
The key tasks will also include;
Assist the finance team with month-end reporting, ensuring that accurate reports are delivered on time with an understanding for the numbers reported with ownership for particular sites
Developing internal controls and processes and ensuring all are adhered to consistently both within the Finance team and other teams in the business
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations along with investigation and satisfactory conclusion of reconciling items
Provide relevant supporting documentation to the external auditors on request
Work with key stakeholders to deliver the daily financial KPIs. Assisting with ensuring the Finance team is fully aware of negative/positive P&L factors
Create and maintain stakeholder relationships using own credibility and integrity. Attend and present at period end review meetings with the Finance Director
Assistance in other ad hoc projects as required
Profile
Successful candidate;
Ideally, be AAT-qualified or finalist/ part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
Previous experience in managing a team
Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel such as Vlookups or Pivot Tables
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commercially focused
