Electrical Engineer

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a growing and dynamic engineering consultancy delivering high-profile MEP projects across a diverse range of sectors.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in the design, delivery, and successful execution of complex building services projects from concept through to completion.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects while supporting the development of junior engineers and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the electrical design and delivery of complex MEP projects across multiple building sectors.

Produce high-quality technical designs, calculations, specifications, and reports.

Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, regulations, standards, and industry best practice.

Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, contractors, and external stakeholders.

Manage project programmes, budgets, resource allocation, and change control processes.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and graduates.

Participate in client meetings and confidently communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Support business development activities and contribute to maintaining strong client relationships.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Essential Requirements

Proven ability to build and manage client relationships effectively.

Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and confidently.

Experience mentoring and supporting engineers while contributing to successful project delivery.

Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, schedules, and change control procedures.

Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership would be advantageous.

Degree or diploma in an engineering discipline (BSc/BEng, HND, or HNC).
