Automation QA Engineer

Job Description

We’re working with a leading tech company in the North East who are looking for an Automation QA Engineer to play a key role in maintaining the quality and reliability of their cutting-edge platform. This hybrid role requires 2 days a week in the Newcastle-upon-Tyne office.What you’ll be doing:Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using modern tools and frameworksCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and apply the right testing methodologiesIdentify opportunities to enhance automation across the testing process, improving efficiency and coverageConduct thorough regression testing to ensure platform stability during new feature rolloutsPerform root cause analysis for test failures and work closely with developers to resolve issues quicklyCreate and maintain test data, environments, and harnesses required for automated testingMonitor, analyse, and report on test results to key stakeholdersProactively contribute to improving testing processes and practices across the teamKeep up to date with the latest QA tools and best practices, sharing insights with the wider teamWhat they're looking for:Strong proficiency in C#Experience in automation testing, including functional and data validationAbility to translate business requirements into comprehensive test casesExperience working with APIs, databases, and version control systems (e.g. Git)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for detailStrong communication skills and a collaborative approachProactive mindset with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive improvementsIf you're interested, apply now, and a member of our team will be in touch!Location:Newcastle upon Tyne Tyne and Wear Newcastle upon Tyne NE12 8BX Salary:45000 - 55000Sector: Testing   Type:PermanentPosted:03/03/2026
