Software Developer (GoLang, PHP)

Overview

Due to continued growth and success, Chargehive are on the lookout for an experienced Software Developer to expand their Fintech team, based at our offices on the outskirts of Fareham. The role’s primary focus will be developing new features and applications in Golang while maintaining a strong understanding of our existing PHP codebase to ensure seamless integration and modernization efforts. If you are a strong developer, looking to learn GoLang, we would also be open to the opportunity of training you up.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test scalable Golang solutions for financial applications.
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing PHP code, ensuring stability.
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices.
• Stay updated on Golang advancements and relevant fintech trends.

Skills And Qualifications

• Essential
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial development.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Desirable
  • Experience with financial systems or applications.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, etc.).
  • Unit Testing during the development cycle
  • Proven experience with PHP.
  • Experience with PCI compliance.
