Panoramic Associates is currently working with a local authority in North West England to recruit a Housing Standards Manager, ensuring compliance with legislation and improving housing conditions.
Title: Housing Standards Manager
Location: Merseyside UK
Type: Contract for 6 months initially
Salary: Up to £55/day
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Housing Standards services, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with statutory duties.
Oversee programme management, budgeting, and forecasting.
Represent the organization on regional housing standards issues and investment opportunities.
Lead strategic projects to address housing challenges and optimize housing stock usage.
Engage with partners to secure resources and deliver investment programs.
Provide expert advice and support on housing standards to stakeholders.
Develop and implement information systems for performance monitoring.
Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring staff are supported and developed.
Requirements:
Relevant housing, environmental health, or building qualification.
Thorough understanding of housing legislation and regeneration issues.
Extensive experience in private sector housing regeneration and management.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Experience in managing complex enforcement actions and budgets.
Desirable Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent in Environmental Health, Housing Regeneration, or related discipline.
Management qualification or training.
