Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable, multi-franchise approved car dealership in Cardiff for the position of workshop controller. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a long-standing business with over 60 years of operation, offering a competitive salary package and substantial career development prospects.

Up to £36,000 basic salary, dependent on experience

Oversee daily workshop operations for a team servicing an 11-ramp workshop

Liaise with the Aftersales Manager to optimise workshop processes

Communicate effectively with customers to understand and relay their requirements

Monitor workshop and individual efficiency to meet key performance indicators

Manage the allocation of work based on team skills and capacity

Identify training needs and support team development as the Workshop Controller

Coordinate between workshop and service reception on vehicle progress

Maintain workshop standards according to HSO requirements and brand service standards

Guarantee adherence to customer satisfaction standards and service quality expectationsRequirements of the Workshop Controller:

Proven success in managing a busy automotive workshop for at least three years, ideally within a franchise-approved dealership

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Results-driven with a focus on quality and reliability

Proficient in IT and workshop management systems

Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
