Ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for an ambitious Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef who is ready to take their first step into a Head Chef position and play a key role in launching an exciting new fresh food pub in the Reading area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who wants more than simply running an established kitchen. As part of the refurbishment and opening, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the kitchen from the ground up , work closely with the owners and have a genuine input into the food offering.
Youll be encouraged to bring your own ideas and creativity to the table, helping to create a menu centred around fresh, seasonal produce and well-executed modern pub classics .
The Role As Head Chef, you'll take the lead in building and developing the kitchen operation, working closely with the owners to establish the identity and food offering of this exciting new business.
You'll have the freedom to help create and develop the menu , source quality ingredients and put your own stamp on the food, while maintaining a consistently high standard throughout service.
You'll also be responsible for leading, motivating and developing the kitchen team, managing day-to-day kitchen operations and ensuring excellent food quality, consistency and food safety.

What We're Looking For An experienced Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step into their first Head Chef position.
A genuine passion for fresh food and quality ingredients.
A creative chef who enjoys developing menus and putting their own ideas into practice.
Strong knowledge of fresh food and classic pub dishes .
A confident leader who can motivate and develop a kitchen team.
Good kitchen management and organisational skills.
Experience with stock control, GP, rotas and food safety.
Calm and professional under pressure.
Someone who enjoys working closely with owners and management to develop a new business.
A chef with ambition, enthusiasm and a desire to make their mark.
