Would you like to use your experience to make a genuine difference in your local community?
Following two successful recent Trustee appointments, Reading Almshouse Charity is continuing to strengthen its Board and is looking for two more people to join at an exciting time for the organisation.
For generations, the charity has provided safe, affordable homes and supportive communities for people across Reading and Earley. Today, it supports over 100 residents across three sites and has ambitions to develop and grow its impact further.
This is an opportunity to do much more than attend Board meetings. Were looking for Trustees who want to contribute ideas, ask good questions and play an active part in shaping the charitys future.
Previous Trustee experience isnt essential. Were interested in people who bring useful professional or lived experience, fresh perspectives and, importantly, a genuine connection with what Reading Almshouse Charity is trying to achieve.
Youll work alongside an engaged Board, providing strategic oversight, supporting good governance and helping ensure the charity remains sustainable and relevant for future generations.
The commitment includes four Board meetings each year, alongside committee involvement and preparation time. Meetings are held during the daytime in Reading.

Remuneration: Voluntary, with reasonable expenses reimbursed
