37.5 hours per week – 1 pm finish on a Friday
To be successful in this position, you will have/be;
Working knowledge of Service Delivery methodologies and security standards, ITIL and ISO27001
Good problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to determine the approximate impact of each issue quickly
Excellent people (user) management and time management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload
Experience in supporting and continuously improving an IT Service function and establishing appropriate processes and governance
Implementation of successful IT infrastructure and services transformation projects
Strong working knowledge of IT infrastructure components (e.g. networking, data centre, desktop, IT security, firewalls, Virus and Malware control) and experience in supporting, implementing and integrating a portfolio of on-premise and Cloud-based services (e.g. Office2013/ Exchange 2013, Office365, SaaS)
In-depth understanding of Windows 10, Server 2008/12/16 and above, including Active Directory, DNS and DHCP, in a worldwide multi-domain environment
Knowledge of LANs, WANs, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs & SDWAN and firewall technologies, ideally support worldwide locations including China and USA
Experience with Office 365 product suite, including Teams, SharePoint, Unified Communications, and Mobile Device Management
Ideally, experience in supporting remote and agile workers, including locations in China and the USA
Experience in supporting engineering user environments is desirable; CAD (Catia / SolidWorks), Altair Hyperworks, and SmarTeam document management
A work toward building effective relationships with stakeholders in a medium-scale organisation
Effective support of major service incidents
Enabling file shares via DSF permissions
Strong working knowledge of security best practices and how these can be optimised in an IT operational environment
Willingness to work outside of regular UK office hours, to support maintenance requirements and to react to exceptional work requirements
