Electrical Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / Non-Working Supervisor to join our team on a prestigious new Technology Institute project in Oxford.

Our company is undertaking major electrical infrastructure works involving the installation and termination of SWA sub-main cables, ranging from 4 Core 25mm² up to 4 Core 240mm² SWA. There is thousands of meters of cable to be installed and terminated.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to oversee a significant electrical installation package on a high-profile construction project.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will manage site operations as a non-working supervisor / project lead, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise day-to-day site activities and electrical installation teams.

* Oversee pulling and installation of SWA sub-main cables (4 Core 25mm² – 240mm²).

* Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and project scheduling.

* Ensure all works are completed to specification, programme, and quality standards.

* Maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance.

* Conduct toolbox talks, RAMS reviews, and site inspections.

* Liaise with clients, principal contractors, and project management teams.

* Produce progress reports, manage site documentation, and maintain project records.

Requirements

* Proven experience in construction project management and/or non-working electrical supervision.

* Strong background in commercial / industrial electrical installations.

* Experience managing SWA cable installation and sub-main infrastructure works.

* SMSTS qualification preferred.

* ECS / CSCS card required.

* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

* Must be up to date with current IT systems and proficient in using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office for reporting, communication, and document management.

* Ability to manage works within a live construction environment.

* Flexibility to work Overtime where required including nights.

* Project duration: Approximately 5 months.
