CNC Turner Programmer, Setter & Operator

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 (38-hour week) - £40,000-£45,000 OTE

Hours: Monday to Thursday 06:00-14:30 or 07:00-15:30, Friday 06:00-12:00

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer, Setter & Operator to join their highly skilled machining team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and growing business producing precision-engineered components for a range of demanding industries, working with specialist materials and advanced machining techniques.

The Role

As a CNC Turner Programmer, Setter & Operator, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes, producing high-quality precision components to tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC turning machines

• Produce precision components to customer specifications

• Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings

• Machine a variety of materials including Duplex, Titanium and Hastelloy

• Inspect and verify components to tight tolerances

• Conduct in-process and final quality checks

• Maintain safe working practices and housekeeping standards

• Support production targets and continuous improvement initiatives
