Job Description

Join Vitesse, a payments platform redefining the insurance ecosystem. We are a licensed enterprise in the UK, Europe and New York, serving insurers, brokers, MGAs and TPAs with real‑time, global payments and full financial control.

About the role

Senior Full‑stack Software Engineer with a product‑centric mindset. You’ll shape features, collaborate with product owners, designers and engineers, and own features from architecture to production monitoring.

Core responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy and support enterprise‑level products.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end flow from storyboarding, wireframing and prototyping to UI/backend implementation.
  • Prepare low‑fidelity prototypes for internal review and assess technical feasibility.
  • Create high‑quality technical documentation with example code.
  • Communicate solutions clearly within the team.
  • Apply appropriate design patterns and write idiomatic code in the home team tech stack.
  • Design schemas, implement asynchronous messaging, RPC handlers and distributed systems.
  • Coordinate deployments, database migrations, handling complex error cases.
  • Debug production issues and improve scalability, observability and security.
  • Deliver large well‑defined tasks and navigate smaller scope problems.
  • Own parts of the overall architecture; contribute to hiring, onboarding, mentoring and proposals.
  • Assist on‑call engineering for 24/7 support, build and improve engineering tools, solve customer issues.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis reports.

Qualifications

  • .NET Core (and preferably .NET Framework) – 3+ years.
  • React (ideally TypeScript) front‑end experience.
  • Distributed microservices architecture with asynchronous event‑driven communication, DDD, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Agile methods and collaborative practices.
  • Strong understanding of SOLID, service‑oriented architecture and security best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive in updates and stakeholder feedback.
  • Passion for contributing to the platform’s continued development.
