Im currently working on a new contract opportunity within the Defence sector for an experienced Security Solutions Engineer.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a Security Solutions Engineer with strong security and infrastructure engineering experience, who enjoys working across both cloud and on-prem environments and is comfortable working directly with clients.
Whats on offer: 69 month contract
40 hours per week
Frimley + UK client sites
Currently around 12 weeks on site per month
International travel required
Opportunity to work within a Defence environment across varied security technologies
Exposure to both cloud and on-prem infrastructure
A hands-on technical role with strong client interaction
The role: As a Security Solutions Engineer, youll support the design, deployment, configuration and improvement of a range of security solutions and infrastructure.
Youll work across areas including:
Cloud, on-prem and virtualised infrastructure
Containers and containerised platforms
Network security, routers, switches and VLANs
DNS and identity management
Security tooling deployment and integration
Linux administration, package management and scripting
Infrastructure sizing and technical requirements
Testing solutions against functional and non-functional requirements
Were looking for a Security Solutions Engineer who can operate as a technical SME while also communicating confidently with clients and stakeholders.
Youll ideally have experience with: Network design and configuration
Cloud and on-prem infrastructure
VM and container deployments
Linux administration and scripting
TCP/IP and network traffic analysis
Security tooling and infrastructure
Client-facing technical consulting
Youll need to be adaptable, comfortable picking up new technologies and confident working in environments where no two projects are necessarily the same.
