Electrical Engineer

The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London's state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and ambitious Electrical Engineer to join the Anthro MEPHFC Design Team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in either rail station or buildings electrical services design and coordination.As an Electrical Engineer you will review and produce electrical designs. We are looking for someone who’s dedicated, diligent, and driven, and will take this challenge head on, being part of a dynamic team with big ambitions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and monitor technical submittals for approval by the clientProducing electrical designs to project requirementsDevelop design from feasibility up to As BuiltProduction of design proposals (e.g. sketches) for agreement with the client, stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers etc.Writing project communications such as Requests For Information (RFI’s) & meeting minutesMaintaining trackers, registers and schedulesCarrying out design reviews and working to design assurance processesQualificationsCandidate ProfileElectrical Engineering qualificationExperience in rail station or buildings electrical services design and coordinationExperience of working in an engineering production environmentExperience of multi-disciplinary design and coordination, and the delivery of projects to a high quality, throughout all design stagesExperience of working with 3D models in a BIM environmentExperience of producing drawings, schedules and calculationsAbility to find solutions to engineering problemsCapable of managing design interfaces and integration processesKnowledge of British Standards and RegulationsUnderstanding of project scopes, requirements, works informationAwareness of delivering work to a programme and budgetEffective communication and collaboration abilitiesCapable of working as part of a team and on own initiativeGood understanding of electrical systems from a technical and design perspectiveExperience using engineering software tools including Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux or ReluxAdditional InformationYOU MUST HAVE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITIONWe are committed to our planet:We at EGIS are an Equal Opportunities employer and we recognise the value of a Diverse Organisation.
